Can I have CoolSculpting on my stomach 2 months after having appendix surgery?

The rule of thumb is that most healing has taken place after 3 months from surgery. Whether you've had an appendectomy or hernia repair I would wait 3 months, but I would also request clearance from your surgeon. The suction applied during the treatment is the concern since it may disrupt the healing of the fascial incision.

I would check with the surgeon who performed your appendix surgery to see when it would be safe for you to have CoolSculpting on your stomach (abdomen).  It really would depend on how your healing has progressed after your surgery.

As other doctors have explained, it is best to wait until you are well healed from any abdominal surgery (3 - 6 months) before pursuing any type of cosmetic procedures, especially CoolSculpting. Check with the surgeon that did your surgery and choose appropriate CoolSculpting techniqcians that have had experience.

Hi boating17, thank you for your question.  This is a question that can best be answered by the physician who performed your surgery.  However, we would not recommend having any treatment involving suction in the abdominal area so soon after having surgery in the same general area.  Your physician would need to sign off regarding your suitability for this treatment.  Good luck with everything, and speedy healing!
