What exactly is Coolscupting "Plus" and VForm?"

Coolsculpting  is an excellent technique for freezing fat in a local area in which the applicator can suck up the fat and freeze it for a one hour period of time. The new advantage program applicator attempts to achieve the same results in a shorter period of time with a modified applicator. 
 The most important determination for success with any nonsurgical treatment be that either Coolsculpting  or SculpSure is selecting the correct patient for the treatment. In evaluation of a patient looking for an area which can be grasped such as the "Special K" pinch an inch, to really identify tissue and fat which can be brought into the  suction applicator. These patients would be best treated with the coolsculpting. However in patients where they have an area which is palmable and identifiable as a bulge, whether on their abdomen hips or flanks, the best treatment for this would be SculpSure. 

Hi Ella124.  You are correct that the new Advantage applicators do only require 35 minutes (b/c they go to a lower temperature)--it is not possible to "dial down" the old applicators-the temperature and time to full treatment are programmed within the machine (i.e. a shorter treatment with the old applicators would not be considered a full treatment with the same results).  The new applicator heads are referred to as "plus".  Not sure what VForm means-perhaps it is the configuration used to get slight overlap such as in the abdomen and under the chin?  Be sure that your CS provider has the certification of advanced training from CoolSculpting University. Thank you for your question.  I would first recommend that you call the provider who used these terms, and ask them directly what they were referring to.  All any of the rest of us can do is share our conjecture with you.  Regarding the term CoolSculpting Plus:  This can mean a couple of things.  There is a large applicator that treats two areas at once.  This applicator is called the CoolAdvantage Plus.  Additionally, there are offices that offer a treatment called CoolSculpting Plus.  They follow the CoolSculpting procedure with a massage technology such as Z-Wave, that uses sound waves to break up the fat crystals in place of a manual massage after the actual procedure is complete. Regarding the V-form: this could very likely refer to the placement of the applicators in the lower abdomen.  These applicators are frequently placed in the shape of a V which tends to follow the natural lines of the fat tissue.  As I have stated, the attempt I have made to explain what someone else may have meant is not necessary what they did intend to say. Thanks for your question and as you have learned, the new CoolAdvantage Applicators take the time for each session from 60 minutes to 35 minutes with the same results as the longer treatment times – the company did a lot of very nice studies showing that the new applicators work very well. You need to make sure that you are seeing a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to learn more about this and  make sure that your provider understands CoolSculpting and all of the aspects involved with the machine.

Hi Ella124- Thank you for your question.  It seems the technician was speaking about the CoolSculpting Advantage applicator, which is a 35 minute treatment time.  However, the CoolSculpting Advantage Plus applicator is a larger size applicator (double the size of the regular Advantage) and is a 45 minute treatment time. "VForm" is not a technical term, but it could be used in reference to the placement of the applicators. I would schedule another visit with your provider and ask for clarification on your treatment plan, applicator choice, and placement before scheduling treatment. Thank you for your question. Coolsculpting Plus is when another type of treatment is used with the Coolsculpting treatment to enhance results. As for example, we use the Zimmer Zwave with our Coolsculpting treatments for better and faster results. Up to 50-60 % more fat reduction per treated area and results can be seen as soon as 4 weeks. I recommend seeing a Cool certified practice for a proper evaluation and treatment plan. All the best

It is the cooladvantage applicator which now take 35 minutes as opposed to 1 hour. The name seems to be some fancy "marketing or branding" technique  to make you think it's unique.
