Hi! I had Restylane injections for the first time ever, yesterday. I have attached a recent before photo and a photo taken the day after injections. I’m scared that it may heal with that rim under my eye as seen in the photo. This is a selfie so your right is really missing left in the photo.
Answer: Tear Trough Hi @RSMember2242! It can take 1-2 weeks for the swelling to subside. If you are unhappy with the results after two weeks, you can dissolve the product with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Day after Restylane injections in tear trough Give it a full 2-3 weeks to heal before seeing your final result. Bruising and swelling is very common after initial injections specially under the eyes because the skin is so much thinner in that area. I suggest you also follow up with your injector so he/she can evaluate how everything healed.Kenneth Hughes MD

Answer: Swelling after tear trough fillers Fillers placed in the tear trough can cause swelling of the eyes that can be more exaggerated in some patients the next day. However, the degree of swelling and the location of the swelling in your case may be to compression of the drainage of the lower lid. I would recommend ice, light massage of the are, and to sleep elevated. If this is not better in a few days, you may need to reduce the pressure on the lymphatic drainage by having some of the restylane reversed. Best of luck.

Answer: Tear Trough Injections (Volbella, Restylane, Belotero) Results--reverse with hyaluronidase, wait 2 weeks This can be typical. Bruising and/or swelling can last 1-2 weeks after injections. Icing and VBeam treatments may give improvement. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
