Hi @RSMember2242! It can take 1-2 weeks for the swelling to subside. If you are unhappy with the results after two weeks, you can dissolve the product with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Give it a full 2-3 weeks to heal before seeing your final result. Bruising and swelling is very common after initial injections specially under the eyes because the skin is so much thinner in that area. I suggest you also follow up with your injector so he/she can evaluate how everything healed.Kenneth Hughes MD

Fillers placed in the tear trough can cause swelling of the eyes that can be more exaggerated in some patients the next day.  However, the degree of swelling and the location of the swelling in your case may be to compression of the drainage of the lower lid.  I would recommend ice, light massage of the are, and to sleep elevated.  If this is not better in a few days, you may need to reduce the pressure on the lymphatic drainage by having some of the restylane reversed.   Best of luck.

This can be typical. Bruising and/or swelling can last 1-2 weeks after injections. Icing and VBeam treatments may give improvement. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Swelling post injections is normal.  Icing for the first 24 to 48 hours will help reduce the inflammation.  You can also take Arnica to aid in the healing.  Keep your head elevated and limit sodium intake.  Tear troughs can be sore to touch for up to a few weeks.  Follow up with your provider if you have concerns.  Hope this helps.

I would wait full 2 weeks after judging results. Swelling and bruising can last for up to 2 weeks. If you have any extreme pain or increase is swelling before 2 weeks, follow up with your injector sooner. I hope this helps! 

I always worn my patients that their Restylane will always look the worst at 24 hours. It immediately draws in fluid causing swelling. Over the next few days the fluid settles down and the area flattens out. In the event there could also be some bruising I wait a full two weeks to reassess the contour.
