Cost for rhinoplasty including the fee for the surgeon, surgical facility, anesthesia, and post operative care will depend on the city and surgeon. With that said it's best to set up a few consultations with different surgeons and make an informed decision based on their experience and speciality in the field. View their before and after photos to see what the outcome could potentially be.
The cartilages at the tip of your nose are strong enough that you can see their outline, the little dent between them, and they make the tip look wide, a bit similar to the woman whose short video is posted with this answer. You should understand that improving a tip like yours requires advanced techniques, techniques that most plastic surgeons cannot handle. Be sure to read the section in the "Learn more" link on how to stay out of trouble while searching for a rhinoplasty surgeon. You should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. Read that page very carefully. Most plastic surgeons are quite poor at this operation, and I believe my advice will go a long way toward keeping you safe.I usually make computer morphs when I'm answering a RealSelf question, to show the changes that are possible for your nose with a rhinoplasty. For example see this page:FacialSurgery.com/RealSelf/RealSelf_Morphs.htmlBut unfortunately the photos you submitted aren't good enough for making morphs. At the *very* bottom of the "Learn more" page is a link to instructions on taking photos that are more comprehensive and useful for online consultations like this, in case you'd like a more complete evaluation.
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on yourphotograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise. Make sure you specifically look atbefore and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performedby your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. Irecommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plasticsurgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACSHarvard-trained plastic surgeon
Dear Heyitshannabanana, the cost of surgery depends on a lot of factors (type of surgery, number of treated areas, anesthesia fee, surgeon, facility fee, city, etc.). It would be the best to visit or call plastic surgery offices and ask for a price.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Most patients must undergo a full rhinoplasty, not a tip plastly to make sure that all the components of the nose are balanced with themselves, and the entire new nose balances with the patient's facial features. It's very rare to only perform a tip-plasty in our practice. It's also important to determine the thickness of the skin in the tip of the nose. When patients have thick skin, the majority of the width of the tip is skin, not cartilage and this issue will limit the amount of improvement that can can be accomplished with a rhinoplasty procedure. The cost of a rhinoplasty is directly determined by the amount of time it takes to perform the procedure in an operating room, time monitored under anesthesia by a physician anesthesiologist, and the surgeon's professional fees for performing the procedure in addition to all of the post operative follow-up appointments for a year. For many before and after rhinoplasty examples along with our current price list, please see the link and the video below
Dear heyitsannabananaa, The photographs shown above do not show your entire nose and it is possible that you will need a complete rhinoplasty and not just a tip plasty. At this point the best advice would be to seek complimentary consultations with some experts in the field of rhinoplasty surgery. During the consultation you can have imaging performed to show you the proposed changes to your nose. Once the desired nose is agreed upon the surgeon will then discuss in detail the techniques which will be used to attain those results. A fee for the procedure will also be given at this time. Please see many examples of before and after rhinoplasty results in the link below and the video as well. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
This is a question I get a lot. Certainly, an experienced facial plastic surgeon can give you a much improved tip. I would suggest you get opinions from more than one surgeon. The goal in a good rhinoplasty is to give as natural looking a nose as possible. The nose should not be the center of attention when someone is looking at you. The tip, dorsum and profile should be in balance at the end of the procedure. Most noses that I do start with the tip as that is the most complex part of the procedure. The nasal dorsum and profile can then be shaped to give a unified look. I can't tell from the picture whether just a tip plasty would accomplish that goal, but the tip can certainly use a major bit of attention. As to cost, most of my cases, whether tip alone or profile alone are still charged out the same. Articles I have read on the cost of rhinoplasty put the most common charges between $6000 and $10,000. It depends on where you live.
Consider posting photos with your head straight looking into the camera. Also, good profile shots are needed to better answer your questions. Rhinoplasty surgery fees vary from region to region. Surgeons set their prices based on the amount of work involved. Also, you will have an anesthesia and facility fee. Consult with a highly experienced board certified plastic surgeon for an in person evaluation.
Numbness after cosmetic surgery is very common. Rhinoplasty involves use of local anesthesia medications to help with postoperative pain and swelling and particularly to reduce bleeding. The approach to anesthetizing the nose (in addition to general anesthesia for sedation and pain management)...
Thanks for your question. If you've never had nasal surgery or nasal trauma and you don't use any medications in your nose, you most likely don't have exposed cartilage in your nose. Following surgery, cartilage can be exposed, but it almost always heals over with proper wound care. In your...
