I've been noticing over the past year that my neck looks wrinkly & saggy and my jowls are starting to show. I'm very fit and young for my age. So I felt the one thing that needed changing was a lift so that my face can match my body and my attitude. Well I did I it! 3 days ago today. I love my surgeon and his friendly staff. It's early to tell but so far loving what I see! Updated on 9 Nov 2016: Haven't even washed my face yet, been sleeping most of the day. Hubby taking good care of me. Tubes in place, groggy, swollen, especially on my left side. Updated on 9 Nov 2016: Went to see doctor and have drainage tubes removed and dressing. Thank God! Took a shower and feeling better. My neck looks so much better! Updated on 9 Nov 2016: Updated on 10 Nov 2016: Updated on 10 Nov 2016: Updated on 11 Nov 2016: Updated on 11 Nov 2016: Updated on 11 Nov 2016: Updated on 12 Nov 2016: Wanted to show how hard I work on my body and why I needed my face to match. Don't think my sagging neck and jowls show in this though. :-) Updated on 12 Nov 2016: This was taken on snap chat lol but man when I saw my neck I couldn't wait for my FL! Updated on 12 Nov 2016: No matter how pretty I tried to look my neck kept looking back at me. I love my new neck! Updated on 13 Nov 2016: Didn't realize we weren't applying ointment as well as we should. Also, wearing constriction band for chin lipo kept it too moist. Wounds need air. I see my doc tomorrow to remove stitches and assess this ugly healing. Updated on 16 Nov 2016: The residual swelling under chin is improving, bruising is lasting forever :-/ Updated on 16 Nov 2016: Biggest concern currently is behind my right ear. Healing is poor. :-( left ear is looking good though. :-) Updated on 18 Nov 2016: Wanted to give some advice. I didn't think to ice under my chin after liposuction. I iced my face after my FL and had minimal bruising, just yellow no purple at all. So, anyone getting chin lipo, make sure you ice! This bruising is 11 days post op. Updated on 18 Nov 2016: My surgeon had me come in to check the healing behind my ears. He scaled down the scabs for better healing and said I was doing a good job keeping them clean and moist. It's so important to stay in close contact with your PS. Here's a pic with some make up on and a scarf. I feel great looking younger :-) Updated on 20 Nov 2016: Feeling pretty happy with my profile :-) the swelling is finally going down and my chin is looking good! Yay!! Updated on 20 Nov 2016: Updated on 20 Nov 2016: Updated on 27 Nov 2016: Loving my new firm neck and jawline! Updated on 10 Dec 2016: Very pleased with my facelift results. All bruising is gone but behind my ear is healing slowly. My doctor recommended Kelo-cote to help and it seems to be working. :-) Updated on 11 Dec 2016: Still quite red, but scabbing and raised skin has improved greatly. Slow process.
Excellent experience enhanced by taking Protandim starting 30 days before the procedure. Protandim reduced the recovery time in half by significantly reducing the inflammation and pain. The scaring was minimized and healing sped up with True Science face cream. The combination of a Life Style Lift and the Protandim Nrf2 activator is incredible. I look and feel 40 years younger!
Dr B from Roseville, California made a masterpiece. I am 57, had jowls and a turkey neck that I really didn't like. I was concerned about having my face stretched and not looking like myself (like loosing my soul.) I had my procedure on December 20, 2010 and I am absolutely enchanted with the results. I look like a younger version of myself without the plastic, artificial look that I was so afraid to end up with. The results look so natural that nobody is able to figure how is that I look so good. The pain is so little is not worth mention it, besides... don't we have to suffer a bit to get beautiful? Thank you Dr. B!!!!!
I didn't like looking in the mirror and seeing a woman who looked older than I felt. I had seen the infomercials on TV, and talked my husband into going in to a consultation at LSL and we both signed up. I signed up for upper and lower eyelids in addition to the neck with the LSL. I agree w/some others that a longer time after taking pre-surgery meds is needed, but I am happy with the results over-all. My complaints are minimal and would definitely do it over again! Of course there is scarring--it's surgery. But if they can fix it, they will. Doctors and assistants were great. Just make sure you take enough pre-surgery meds!
I had my upper and lower lids done, along with the Lifestyle Lift including the neck lipo. I also had to have some corrective surgery done on the scars in front of my ears on both sides, but it turned out wonderfully well. They were not unpleasant to deal with and were never anything but helpful, although usually late with every appointment. Everyone says I look great, although they can't exactly put their finger on why. I like it like that. Lifestyle Lift is supposed to look natural, and it does. It took my jowls and extra neck folds and made me look 15 years younger. I am a happy woman with Lifestyle Lift! I recommend them! I'm sorry for those who have had a bad experience--go back and ask them to fix it--they will! Updated on 13 Feb 2011: Updated on 13 Feb 2011:
The best part was consultation..but of course that's cause it's initially about the money. My most disturbing memory is suddenly feeling the procedure and moving about only to be HELD down by technician. Oh!! The pain yet they kept saying were almost done. Very poor follow up, I had to call them with issues and have not heard from them since. No after pictures, no nada. It's a surgical pyramid scheme of sorts. Results...Well still have loose goose neck and pulling out my own stitches that they forgot. Save your money people. I think you can get better service and procedure in South America
Not enough information about the +15 shots or anything else. I have been back for a retouch. It has not helped. I still have neck sag, but now it's in 2 places instead of one. Lots of numbness in several spots. It's all a fast shuffle and unless you have money to burn........don't fall for the hype.
Was very unhappy with my results from my Restylane Refyne injections. They were for my laugh lines/smile lines. Which are very deep. I never saw any results from the 1 syringe I purchased. Knowing that I probably needed 2 syringes. But if injected correctly I’m sure I would have seen some kind of change. Absolutely nothing changed with my appearance. I purchased this on a groupon. But I had to save up $374. That’s a lot of money to me.
I have always been self conscious about my nose and after being told I would have to have surgery to correct my breathing problems I decided why not go all the way :-). I have met with a handful of surgeons and I will make my decision this week. I am hoping it’s the right one! I will update with my doctors info once I decide next week. Updated on 4 Nov 2017: So after many consultations I have chosen Dr. Blum in Tracy Ca. He was fantastic and his staff was great. I am hoping for the Sam results after surgery. My date is November 10th. I am so excited!! Updated on 4 Nov 2017: I am scheduled for surgery on Friday November 10th. I am having rhinoplasty and so far Dr Blum was the best consultation I had. He is extremely detailed and very realistic in the expectation of results. I will update my review and add pictures throughout the process after Friday : ). Updated on 11 Nov 2017: Surgery day was yesterday and all went very well. I? didn’t wake p in too much pain and I? slept through the night. Today my face feels very congested as the packing is a little annoying. I? have been icing and doing everything they said to so I? can have a speedy recovery. I’m a little tired so my Padres might be sort over the next few days. Here are some before and after picks.. Updated on 12 Nov 2017: Today I? actually got up, put some makeup on and went to the grocery store for a few items. I? must say that took everything out of me. I? are home iced and back into bed lol. The one thing that is really causing me discomfort is the packing. It is horrible!! I? feel like I? need o sneeze so bad!!! But tomorrow the packing comes out and I? could not be any more excited!! Updated on 14 Nov 2017: Today I? am 4 days post op. Not much bruising but the swelling has been crazy. I? keep telling myself I? am early in the game... don’t look at the nose it’s not done yet lol! Yesterday they removed the packing and let me tell you that was horribly disgusting. I? am so released to have the packing out! My nose does keep leaking or running right now I? am hoping that stops soon Updated on 27 Nov 2017: I am now 2 weeks post op and the swelling is the most frustrating part of my days. I am trying to stay positive and patient as I know this is just part of the waiting game. Here are some more pics Updated on 4 Dec 2017: So the swelling now goes up and down. I try not to get too attached to it as it changes daily. I am finally going out again with friends and I don’t even remember I had it sometimes. Updated on 14 Jan 2018: I am now about 8 weeks out and boy are the ups and downs crazy! Sorry I haven’t updated lately but some days I am so swollen and some it looks good. Updated on 18 Apr 2018:
Being a 69 years old female I was in need of some facial restoration. I chose the Lifestyle Lift Value package. It included the laser skin treatment. On the day of the procedure I was anxious but the medications I was given before helped to calm me. I did not feel a thing during the procedure. The recovery was quick and painless. The office personnel were very kind & efficient. I'm very satisfied and extremely grateful to have had this painless procedure done so efficiently.
It may be too early to tell. Ptofiles can be tricky. The conventioal wisdom is to suggest a chin implant for an under-protruding chin, but if the chin to lip distance is too short, the outcome can look odd. As the swelling goes down you profile should improve. Chaging out a silicone implant is not a problem if it shpuld come to that
Although every nose requires slightly different techniques, the most common correction done in most practices is to make the nose smaller. The challenge for the surgeon is to get a delicate shape to the tip while maintaining tip support (so it doesn't droop), creating an ideal angle between the lip and the base of the nose (the columella), giving the tip the proper projection and managing the profile to give the nose unity and a natural look. The best way to see if the potential surgeon can accomplish these goals is to see his or her before and after album. Computer manipulation is OK in a consultation, but it doesn't demonstrate the surgeons aesthetic sense matching his surgical abilities. Be comfortable that the one you choose can give you what you want.
There are several ways to augment the nose, either from excessive surgery or aesthetic imbalance from one part of the nose to another. Examination by an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon would be needed to give you the best options. Two directions on answering directly: liquid rhinoplasty (injectable fillers) or implantation of tissue or other types of implants.
The fact that no tip work was performed with the first surgery is a positive bit of information. Revision surgery should be done by rhinoplasty surgeons with lots of experience since prior sugery can create situations that require creative fixes. If no work has been done on the tip, manipulation of the nasal skeleton has a more predictable outcome. The things you wish fixed are "routine" parts of the rhinoplasty and therefore, repair can give very natural looking results. Seek a couple of consultations. It is more important to be comfortable with the surgeon you consult than the price they charge
Thank you for the pictures and questions. I would suggest you obtain at least two consultations with experienced facial plastic surgeons to get a good answer. It is important that the surgeon understands exactly what you would like to accomplish and I am afraid that any opinion I give based on what you have provided may not represent what you really need done. Most surgeons will give a free consultation, but since it is your face, even a paid consultation is worth doing. There are so many tools (surgery, injectables, non invasive procedures) available today that I believe you can get done what you want done.
