Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. If you are able to obtain clearance from your cardiologist, then you can safely proceed forward with surgery. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Dear blackgirlrock, Thank you for your question. The most important thing before surgery is to make sure that you are a safe surgical candidate for any elective procedure. Having the stent placed more than 2 years ago does not exclude you from surgery. However, your cardiologist would need to make sure that you would be safe for surgery given your cardiac history. In addition, if you are on any blood thinning medication, there would need to be a plan in place for when to stop or restart this medication. You and your board certified plastic surgeon can decide on this together and can review the risks and benefits of the procedure to make sure that your goals are met. Good luck! Hope this helps. Hello! I would recommend meeting with a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon for a medical history review along with a consultation on your area of concern. In cases such as yours I request medical clearance for primary care physician as well as your cardiologist. It is not unheard of but make sure you do your research and speak with yoour providers so ensure your safety. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. This will depend on your Cardiac and general health status as well as the extent of the procedure. You will need a Medical/Cardiology clearance before you have this procedure. All The Best !
Hello. Great question. There is the possibility that you can have a tummy tuck with bbl. However, you have to get medical clearance from your cardiologist and some lab work will be required by your surgeon. Please visit a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed examination.
Dear as long as you don't have any issues and you get a clearance from your plastic surgeon, you might be a candidate for a surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Elective procedures are best performed on healthy individuals. Your cardiologist would require that you are cleared for the procedure, and that you can safely stop taking blood thinning medications for a period prior to your surgery. You may also be required to meet with your anaesthesiologist before your surgery is booked. You want to be certain that your surgeon is board certified and that your surgery is performed at a hospital or an accredited surgical facility. I hope this helps.
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. If your stents and cardiac history are well managed and medically optimized there should not be any reason that you can not obtain a tummy tuck and/or liposuction procedure. Be sure to see ASPS board certified plastic surgeons in consultation to get the best treatment advice.
Yes, it is possible that you could still be a candidate for the procedures you are considering. Your surgeon may want you to first get clearance from your specialist. A thorough review of your medical history as well as your medications would need to be completed.
Thank you for the question. You would need medical clearance or risk assessment from your cardiologist prior to the procedure. If everything looks good, then you should be able to undergo an elective surgical procedure.
Dear ChWchester, Based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more...
