Will an extended tummy tuck smooth out my upper outer thigh? (photos)

An extended tummy tuck is most often used to address upper-body concerns such as excess skin and fat around the flanks and lower back, rather than lower-body concerns of the thighs and buttocks. Based on your photo, it seems as though liposuction (which is commonly included in a tummy tuck and mommy makeover) may be enough to address your concerns, but without an in-person evaluation it is difficult to tell for certain. During your consultation, be sure to discuss your thigh area as well as your abdomen with your surgeon. Thank you for your question & photos! My standard tummy tuck includes liposuction of the waist and a pubic lift. The incision is very low so you can hide it under underwear or a bathing suit. An extended tummy tuck incision will extend to the back, which can help to rid of extra skin and fat on the sides. If desired, I can also do a front and outer thigh lift with an extended tummy tuck. This includes deep sutures that help to lift the front and outer thigh. rtooze I appreciate your concern, and you are actually describing a modified thigh lift. To address that area of concern, dissection and release all of the lateral thigh skin can be performed at the same time as the tummy tuck and with a slight extension of the tummy tuck scar, the redundant skin from the thigh can also be removed. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area with lots of experience with the surgery. Good luck.

A tummy tuck will not address the outer thigh area. A lower body lift/circumferential tummy tuck can help with that, but obviously is a more involved procedure. Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for liposuction, a full tummy tuck and a thigh lift, to get rid of the extra skin.
Along with the tummy tuck, liposuction allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You improve your waist, back and flanks.
In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.

Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get an entire back, waist and flanks liposuction, with BBL, and tummy tuck, this is because all the extra skin located in this areas plus your abdominal muscle needs to be repaired.

Before all this, of course, you need to get a complete medical evaluation and laboratory exams to check everything is fine. Also please try to find a board certified plastic surgeon, remember that your safety, always, is going to be first.

you can get improvement either way.  However, with the full circumferential approach, i would think you would be able to get out more akin therefore treating the thighs more directly.  Good luck
