I had a tummy tuck 8 weeks ago. I’ve had discharge coming out of my belly button for a few weeks. I advised the surgeon. I went to my visit today and he stated that he needed to cauterize the wound maybe more than once. Is this normal???

In my experience this is not a problem.  Of course you would have to clear it with your nephrologist, but in general people with only one kidney have no problems with elective surgery.  Best wishes.
