Hi all I had a neck lift a couple of weeks ago and I have seen no results - what should I do ? I am feeling very upset - what could have gone wrong and will a revision fix it and when could I have that ?
Answer: Results You are still early in your recovery. I encourage you to speak with your surgeon about your concerns and closely follow post op instructions. It would be several months before you could consider a revision if it is indicated.

Answer: Deep plane neck lift Thank you for your question and sharing your photograph. It is too early after your surgery to have a clear understanding of your results, and as the swelling decreases, the neck typically appears to have more definition. It would be worth asking your surgeon whether they carried out a deep plane neck lift or not. By deep plane, in the case of the neck lift intervention, one typically refers to reduction of the fatty tissue situated under the platysma muscles, reduction of the digastric muscles, and of the lower part of the submandibular glands. With these procedures, generally, there is a significant change in the contour under the chin and the girth of the neck in its upper segment. If the procedure involved predominantly skin tightening and liposuction, it may require, for the long term, a repeat procedure that reduces volume also in the deeper layer.

Answer: Wait to Assess Results Hello, hope you are well. What should you do? For now, follow your surgeon's aftercare instructions throughout the recovery process. It's possible that even when the swelling resolves you won't have a satisfactory result, but it's too early to make that judgement and too soon to seek a revision anyway. If weeks and months go by and your neck contour remains unchanged, discuss your concerns with your primary surgeon. I hope things improve for you! Best, Dr. Tower

Answer: How soon revision neck lift can be done Considering that your result is far from satisfactory you can consider having revision as soon as 6 months after first surgery. Chin augmentation with implant should be considered as well. In person second opinion surgery with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in face lifts is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Too early Thank you for posting your question heremy answer will be based on the limited information and pictures provided , for medical advice please consult with your plastic surgeon I am sorry that you are not pleased with the outcome from your surgery so far. You are two weeks from surgery though and this is around the time where you have the most swelling . Swelling can take weeks if not months to completely resolve. I would encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon to get reassurance and in the future if you are still not pleased with your result potentially a revision. I hope this helps, best of luck!
