Is it normal to be a bit swollen and have hematoma on my vagina after breast augmentation? 1 week p.o.

Thank you for sharing your question.  Though some migration of swelling into the abdomen is not uncommon, a labial hematoma is out of the ordinary and I would recommend being seen by your surgeon.  Hope this helps.

Any questionable things after surgery are worth a question or visit to your surgeon.  It's best for them to advise you because they can see you and they know exactly what was done.

No, it is not typical to have vaginal bruising after augmentation. Nothing in the surgical procedure itself would cause this. However, if a urinary catheter was placed, its possible that bruising might occur. Also, inadvertent pressure on the area might be a cause. You should bring this to the attention of your surgeon as soon  as possible.

What you are experiencing is not a expected to occur.  This is possibly not even related to your recent surgery.  I would follow up with your Gyn doctor and your plastic surgeon for evaluation to rule out anything more serious.  Good luck with your recovery.

no it is not normal to have a swollen bruised vagina/labia after breast augmentaion. Make sure you let your surgeon know. 

Thank you for your question. It is normal for swelling to migrate down towards your abdomen. However, I would recommend seeing your plastic surgeon and possibly your gynecologist for an in-person assessment. 

It is usual to see swelling and or bruising that migrates down onto the abdomen, starting high and migrating lower, and a little labial swelling is possible, but very unusual.  Dark black labia seems unrelated to BA.  You might see your GYN to evaluate.  

Yes, gravity can do weird things but I have never seen this.  Please call your surgeon. If you were my patient I would want to be aware.  I doubt it is anything serious, but speak with your doctor to be safe

A blackened bruised vagina/labia is not normal following breast augmentation.Please see your GYN asap.
