Sensitive skin/BA scheduled. Is this a concern?

Hi. I have my BA scheduled for May 31st. I wanted to ask that I have sensitive skin with recent tx of fungal infection. I sometimes have random rashes or itchiness that occur randomly on my breast but resolve . Is this a concern?

hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based on the exposed question, the ideal is to consult with your plastic surgeon first before the procedure, because it is important that the skin is healthy for that procedure.only in case you clarify more your doubts you can go with a dermatologist first to see your case.

Sensitivity of the skin and fungal rashes are a concern and you should bring this topic up with your plastic surgeon. Using anti-fungal powder and creams might be reasonable before the operation. Best wishes on your coming surgery!

If you are currently healthy and free from rashes your surgery will likely proceed as scheduled.  However it's a good idea to speak with your surgeon about your sensitivity.  Sometimes the products used during surgery, such as certain types of tape, are avoided in those with sensitivity.  Your surgeon will help decide what is best for you.

It is very important that your skin be free from rash, irritatSensitive skin however is not a contraindication to breast augmentation.ion especially fungal infection before having breast augmentation surgery.  It is important that the fungal infection be completely cleared before considering breast augmentation It is important that you discuss this in detail with your surgeon before surgery. Sensitive skin per se is not a contraindication to breast augmentation surgery.
