Are “zingers” possible 2 years post op?

Most post-operative nerve pain settles down in the first few months.  Occasionally, there can be intermittant zingers, or lightning bolts that occur later than that.
Naprosyn or ibuprofen can diminish many of these.  It is a good idea to discuss with your PS, as there can be other ways to minimize or eliminate this.

Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your surgical results.  After two years zingers are uncommon but may occur either due to muscle cramps/pulls, trauma, skin stretch, etc.  I would recommend alerting your surgeon to ensure all else is going well and to discuss treatment options for future episodes - nerve pain medication, desensitization massage, etc.  Hope this helps.

In light of the fact that you have had multiple prior surgeries, there is a real possibility that there are some nerve fibers trapped in scar that are periodically acting up and sending you reminders that not everything is "normal" in your breasts. Remember that a woman's breasts are dynamic and subject to hormonal influences. Therefore, if there is some periodic swelling, that can definitely "wake up" some nerves that may otherwise be quiet. If you have ongoing concerns, it would be best to follow up with your more recent plastic surgeon with whom you apparently have confidence. Best of luck to you and I hope your zingers eventually indeed resolve. 

It sounds like you may have over exerted yourself which can be possible.   I would suggest that you have your plastic surgeon perform and examination and review your history to make sure everything is ok.   Zingers usually go away in a couple of weeks but if it does not then you should see medical advice.

Sharper, shooting type pain is unusual at 2 years. Many patients experience them early after BA,but they resolve quickly with gentle massage. At 2 years, it is not typical. If the zinger persists,see your surgeon.
