Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your lip accident. Because of the recent placement of JVD your lips are sensitizied to additional injury and responded by exuberant swelling as a result of your cut. This will abate with time, and should not materially impact your lip results. I would speak to your injector about what took place but help yourself by using cold compresses, sleeping with an extra pillow or two behind your back and consider use of Arnica and Bromelain supplementation. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question. No, your injury to your lip should not affect your filler treatment. It is normal to experience some swelling to your lips after hitting them and you can use cold compresses to help reduce it. If this does not get better please follow up with your injector. Best of Luck!
I am sorry that you injured yourself, but it shouldn't affect your Juvederm results. However, due to your injectables treatment, your lips are more sensitive so I am not surprised that you are experiencing swelling after hitting your lip. Don't worry. It will resolve with time and you will once again be happy with your results.
Thanks for your question and sorry that you are having these concerns at this time. I think everything will be fine and you can safely use some cold compresses on the area to help reduce the swelling. If you are not better in the next few days then I would recommend seeing your provider but I am sure this is going to be fine.
Please be seen and examined. If your Injector was a Plastic surgeon then this should be simple to address.
Dear sthompson1994:I am sorry to hear about your recent lip injury. I would recommend seeing a physician to ensure adequate assessment and appropriate management of your lip laceration. Best wishes.
Your injury is not likely to harm the Juvederm placement unless it is a deep injury. Gentle cool compresses and keeping your head elevated will help the swelling resolve more quickly. After your swelling from the injury resolves, see your injector if you feel you need any touchup. Best wishes.
Yes you can have injections while on your menstrual cycle just be sure that you have not taken and NSAIDS for at least 48 hours prior to injection to avoid excessive bruising.
Dental blocks have nothing to do with your results. I would say that hyaluronic acid fillers are not for you! This is a rare occurrence and the only alternative is to have fat grafting into your lips which will last a lot longer. There is no need to keep trying with hyaluronic acid fillers, it...
Thank you for your question. Everyone has a different aesthetic. You have nice lips, (shape, cupid's bow, lip ratio, etc.). If you want to change the aesthetic, your injector should be able to tailor a program for you. Please make sure your injector is well trained and experienced. Remembe...
Thank you for sharing your question. Because the lips are largely comprised of muscle once the JVD has fully dissolved they will return to their previous shape and size without sagging. This includes the ridge that you feel. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. On average , Juvederm lasts 9 months but under the eyes it can last up to 15-18 months. Maybe you just misunderstood . 15 months -yes but not 15 years.
Good question. Fillers do not make you worse off after you stop them. You will simply go back to the way you were had you never used them. The same concept applies to all the areas treated with fillers. Also the same goes for Botox and similar products. Depending on the type you filler use...
