"Selfie" photographs may often makethe nose look wider than it normally does. From this picture alone, I would behesitant to tell you that your nose is too wide for your face. With 3/4 views, base views and side views taken by someone slightly farther away I could giveyou a more detailed reply. Best Wishes
In the frontal view I would not operate on your nose, it fits you like a glove. The only enhancement I envision is redefinint the tip to improve its sharpness.Overally I think you don't need any nose job.
Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.The harmony between facial parts makes us instinctively recognize the beauty... without knowing it, without defining it, just a perception that surprises and captivates us.In this regard, I suggest perform a Closed Rhinoplasty (without visible scars) to treat the tip, base and nasal bridge. With this procedure you get a delicate nose, better harmonize with your other facial features.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Digital photos are not a substitute for an examination, but you appear to have a pleasing nasal appearance on front view.Hope this helps.Dr Joseph
I'd like to see photos of noses you like. Yes, your nose can be narrowed and more feminized. Both closed and open approaches can achieve a more narrow nose with the latter giving more access to the tip for more precise refinement.
The tip and alar base can certainly be refined if you would like with a closed rhinoplasty approach to reduce swelling and downtime. Find a board certified plastic surgeon who has performed thousands of these procedures and has hundreds of pictures and reviews. Kenneth Hughes, MDBeverly Hills, CA
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you appear to have nice overall aesthetics. If you desire surgery, it is possible to perform a tip narrowing and refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts can also be performed to improve the tip refinement. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
One "selfie"photograph is not adequate to determine whether a rhinoplasty procedure should be performed, since the photograph is taken from a wide angle, parabolic lens. Selfie photographs are distorted because of this. An in-person examination and consultation is required to make a determination about being a candidate for a surgical procedure. To narrow a wide nose can be accomplished with a closed rhinoplasty procedure which includes osteotomies placed in the nasal bones and conservative tip rhinoplasty. For many examples, please see the link and the video below
It depends on where you feel your nose is too wide. See a very experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery to get useful advice. That's my recommendation after 30 plus years performing this procedure.
Noone ever "needs" a rhinoplasty. It is an elective procedure and onlyyou can determine if your nasal features concern you enough to do somethingabout improving the cosmetic appearance of your nose and whether it wouldworthwhile.Following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposesto tell you exactly what to do based on limited 2 dimensional photos withoutexaminingyou, physically feeling thetissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, anddiscussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in yourbest interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon with extensive nasalsurgery experience who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeryand ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery(ASAPS) or a facial plastic surgeon (ENT) that you trust and are comfortablewith. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.Additional informationabout the procedure will help you decide if it is a procedure that you want topursue.Robert Singer, MD FACSLa Jolla, California
The splint that has been placed on your nose is there to stabilize the bones as they heal. Removing it too early may cause the bones to shift. Do not remove it sooner than recommended by your doctor.
Thank you for your question. It is not readily apparent from your picture what the problem is. You will need to consult with a certified Plastic Surgeon in order to determine what the real issues are. Only then will he be able to give you the costings for any required corrective work.Kind regards.
It is very likely that your headaches may be associated with nose/head trauma. It may not only be result of nose trauma and surgery but also head injury. You should address headache issue with your primary doctor and neurologist. Good luck.
