Is it safe to have a rhinoplasty and dental implants procedure within the same year like months apart or even a year apart?

I'm 19. I want to get a rhinoplasty and a dental implant for a missing tooth but I'm just not sure if one would affect the other and if it would how long should I wait between them?

It is very unlikely that one procedure will have a negative effect on the other.  The swelling following Rhinoplasty can take several months to resolve, but the bone where dental implants are secured should not be compromised.  If in doubt, discuss your concerns with both of your care providers.  Best Regards

It is acceptable to undergo a dental procedure one to 2 months after a rhinoplasty procedure.

For my patients who require these 2 procedures, I do not think there are any issues that would preclude 1 from getting 1 or the other.  You should of course asked her doctors about it.

Hi there, I do think you can have the rhinoplasty and the dental implant the same year. I do not think one will negatively affect the other. When planning for the time of the procedures, I would say your nose will be tender and swollen immediately after the rhinoplasty and some of the swelling will extend to the upper lip. You might have to have your mouth open for a little while for the implant to be placed, make sure you are comfortable opening your mouth before you do for the implant. In other words, you might want to wait a couple of months to see how you feel before scheduling. Hope this helps!
