This needs an in-person evaluation. Most people need more than one vial and a series of treatments with Kybella. Both Kybella or neck liposuction are good options and will improve the double chin. It depends on your lifestyle and personality which would be better for you. Kybella is best for patients that:1) Do not want surgery 2) Are not surgical candidates 3) Not willing to wear a compression dressing around the face for 1 week 4) Patient- The results of Kybella will take monthsKybella take 1-3 treatments every 6 weeks. Patient will develop swelling and possible bruising after each injection that may last a few days. The benefit of Kybella is each treatment is quick and completed in the office. However, some patients need more than one treatment to get desired results. Neck Liposuction is best for patients that:1) Want a single treatment 2) One recovery time- Downtime for neck liposuction require wearing a wrap around face for 1 week. 3) Less painful 4) Quicker results 5) Cost is a concernNeck liposuction is a quick surgical procedure that can be complete while the patient is awake. It cost around the same price a Kybella and can be less in patients with heavier necks. The single recovery of neck liposuction may be a better option for some patients.I hope this helps.
Based on your pictures, you don't need Kybella or any other intervention for submental (under the chin) fat. If your chin and neck look smooth with your head in a normal position (as is the case in your pictures), then nothing is needed. Good luck. You have excellent facial esthetics. Don't be overly self-critical.
The throat area is not an area that we inject with Belkyra. It is also best to schedule an in person consultation so you can be properly assessed as pictures create challenges for the purpose of assessment.
Hi Stacey,It's very difficult to tell what would be the best treatment(s) for you based on the pictures you have posted. Are you able to send better pictures of your profile? From what I can see, it doesn't look like you would need much product. You also look to have great skin, which is important for getting good Kybella results.I normally offer chin and cheek filler treatments along with Kybella treatments. This is because the filler assists in lifting the skin. I find people who are young, have good skin, and need only a small correction are happiest with their Kybella results. I have treated patients who only needed one bottle for two sessions. The standard treatment is 2 bottles for 4 sessions, 6 weeks apart. I suggest you look at before & after photos while researching physicians and treatments; you're welcome to have a look at results from combination treatments on my RealSelf gallery. Then, book a consultation with a physician who can show you before and after photos of their clients, specifically those who have received Kybella treatments, and make sure your result expectations line up. Good luck!
It is hard to tell from the photos you took what the submental area looks like and if you even have much fat to treat. The way that Kybella works you need at a minimum two treatments to see any effect. Most people are unable to perceive any difference after one treatment. The average patient requires 2-4 treatments of 1-2 vials per treatment.
It's hard to tell how much Kybella you will need based on these photos. I suspect you will need 1-2 vials per session and atleast 2 session for a good result.
Both Kybella and laser hair removal are safe treatments that can be completed around thesame time. Neither treatment should harmfully impact the other. Kybella does have some sideeffects that can make the neck and under-chin area temporarily sensitive, so you may wish tohave your laser hair...
Swelling from Kybella can be pretty significant, and I tell patients to plan on 1-2 weeks of swelling. To be swollen 5 days out is not at all unusual. However, always confirm with your healthcare provider to ensure they are in agreement. We do find swelling is typically less...
Thank you for your question. As long as it's okay with your doctor, there is no reason why you can't have Kybella days after your procedure.
