How do I buy the 200$ insurance the website is a bit confusing and what exactly does this cover ?? Capsular contracture & ruptures ?

The new mentor warranty covers both implants for life compared to a standard 10 year warranty for each implant individually.Most important the new warranty provides $3500 toard surgery to correct capsualr contracture occuring in the first 3 years.Call your surgeons office for help obtaining the warranty-my staff does that for all of my patients.

Thank you for your question.  The warranty from breast implant companies helps to cover the cost of surgery for rupture of implants only.  You get lifetime replacement in the case of a deflation and $1200 towards the cost of surgery for a saline implant if the rupture occurs within 10 years of insertion.  The upgraded warranty, which is around $100 must be purchased within a few weeks of surgery and it doubles the financial benefit in the event of rupture in the first 10 years.  If you are having trouble with the website, either call Mentor or talk with your surgeons office, they should be able to help you.
