Juvederm Nasolabial lines -- swelling

Hard to say without evaluating you what is accounting for the change. I always have my patients call me and send me photos with any concerns, that way things can be addressed immediately. There have been reports of reactions to the product, although extremely rare, and you want to let your treating physician know so they can melt the product if that's the case.

It is common to get swelling and bruising hours to days after injection.  If you are worried I suggest going to your physician for an evaluation.  Best, Dr. Emer.

It is normal to experience some redness and swelling to the area for a day or two after Juvederm injections.  The trauma to the skin from the needle as well as the substance itself, can irritate the skin and cause an inflammatory reaction.  Also, Juvederm can attract water and cause additional filling of the area.  Typical post injection swelling is temporary.  If the swelling and redness last more than a few days, please consult your doctor.

Sounds like you are experiencing swelling from your Juvederm injections. Often swelling is worse 24-48 hours after the treatment.   Applying ice up to 48 hours will help with the swelling.   Give the product 2 weeks to settle and for the swelling to subside.  

Dermal fillers will often draw water into the area, contributing to delayed swelling.  If you are concerned, return to your injector soon, because an in person examination is most helpful.  

Your description is not unusual for 24 hours following injection into your nasolabial fold lines.  I wouldn't worry.  You can ice and avoid exercise today.  If it continues or if you are anxious, call your doctor to reassurance!
