Will my nose take more than one rhinoplasty?

Great question!  Hopefully not!  You are a very beautiful person despite not loving your nose.  You should not require more than one rhinoplasty.  But, I want you to keep in mind that your nose can only be made smaller based upon your anatomy.  There are limits to making noses smaller.  Many ethnic rhinoplasties can be enhanced by creating a better nasal dorsum, improving nasal tip projection and then making the nasal opening smaller.  Don't worry.  Interview your surgeon and get more than one opinion.  You will feel a lot better about your decision. You should only require one procedure.  This should refine your tip, narrow your alar base and narrow your bridge.  A lateral view is needed to see if any dorsal grafting is needed.

 A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish narrowing the wide nose. An alar plasty is required to narrow wide nostrils. The bridge of the nose can also be built up to give added height which helps give the illusion of being more narrow. Osteotomies placed in the nasal bones are required to narrow the bridge line. You have a normal nose.  If you are distracted by elements of your nose then you are a candidate for cosmetic rhinoplasty.  The most important consideration is to consult a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who has a great deal of experience with ethnic rhinoplasty.  Be sure to see his/her comprehensive portfolio of pre- and post-op pictures so you can gauge level of experience and expertise and to see the types of results that are reasonable to expect.For an optimal result your surgeon may need to use a cartilage graft, usually taken from behind the ear.You should expect the result you want after a single procedure.
