This can sometimes happen if the tear ducts are blocked and backing up a bit due to swelling.Follow up with your surgeon to ensure all is okay.
This is possible after rhinoplasty and more commonly is seen with nasal packing after surgery. The tear ducts drain fluid into the nasal cavity. This conduit can serve as a passage for the blood upward into the eyes. However, in some cases direct injury to the tear duct during osteotomy can cause bleeding into the eyes. You need to visit your surgeon for a close examination.
Depending on the techniques used and if there is packing in your nose, it is possible to experience some blood that travels up the tear duct. Consider starting saline drops to your eyes which can prevent some of the clotting of blood in the area of the tear ducts and contact your surgeon for an assessment of the next best step should this continue.
Thank you for the question and since the tear ducts communicate with your nose this is not unusual but if concerned see your surgeonDr. Corbin
One photo shows your concern clearly ,but the other does not? You should review with your surgeon, but it is likely something that he will assess and watch over time.
As you noted, your nose looks straight to you. There is no need for a closed reduction of your nose. The nasal bump you have should be allowed to settle and fully soften, which takes 4-6 months and then reevaluated to see if the nasal contour has returned to its pre injury shape...
Thank you for the question and while I can't speak for every plastic surgeon most are trained and do a septoplasty during a rhinoplasty if it is necessary to get the best result possible.Dr. Corbin
