I recommend that my patientsnot wear glasses forat least 4 weeks after rhinoplasty surgery. Wearing glasses post rhinoplastywill apply pressureto the bridge of the nose, which can cause indentations. Talk to your surgeonand askto show you how to tape your glasses from the forehead to avoid puttingpressure on yournew nose.
Thanks for the question. The safest thing to do is not wear your glasses or at least not let them rest on the bridge of your nose. You can use tape to suspend them from your forehead, although not ideal it is better than having a permanent bump on your nose from the pressure. I usually recommend a minimum of 6 weeks post surgery before wearing glasses normally.RegardsDr Guy Watts

I wish you a successful surgery.
If you need to wear your glasses ask your surgeon to show you how to use tape so they do not sit on your bridge and cause dents.
