I am looking to get a tummy tuck and lipo 360. Original plan was just lipo in the abdomin/ flanks but someone told me that if i gained weight it will go to places that did not get lipo. Is this true? I asked for a quote to get my arms and upper back done as well and saw lipo 360 was suggest but I am confused because I read that lipo 360 is only for mid section only. Is this true?
Answer: Liposuction Yes, you can have liposuction of the upper arms and upper back but do not have this done unless it is indicated. You may end up with contour irregularities if the area does not really need to be addressed. Typically liposuction of the upper abdomen is not performed during a standard tummy tuck out of concerns for blood supply to the healing tissues. I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon. It is important that you feel comfortable and confident as you prepare for surgery.

Answer: Liposuction of torso and TT Yes, it is possible to do liposuction of upper back and arms in combination with liposuction of abdomen, flanks and lower back. In State of Florida we have a limit of how much fat can be harvested with liposuction when other major procedure, like a TT in your case, is done simultaneously; it is 1 litter. For that reason, you should think of doing liposuction of all of these areas as a first procedure followed with TT as a separate procedure. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Can lipo 360 be done on the upper back and arms? Hello @Intellectual625208, thank you for your question. Ultimately, it depends on what the specialist considers 360. For me, liposculture is a procedure used to eliminate fat deposits in different body parts: hips, thighs, arms, back, stomach etc. Practically to shape the body. To shed more light on liposculpture, I link to a video. It is important that you have a consultation with a board certified specialist to determine a surgical plan according to your needs. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Lipo 360 Hello! Lipo 360 typically refers to liposuction of the abdomen and back - upper and lower. Abdominoplasty is associated with varying amounts of liposuction depending on your provider. Typically if you are undergoing an abdominoplasty, you can get back liposuction, but this would not be considered Lipo 360. The key after this surgery is to control your weight so you enjoy the results - surgery will hopefully jumpstart a healthier lifestyle, including a healthy diet and physical fitness. If you gain weight it will more easily cause increased size in non-treated areas. Hope this is helpful! Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck to you!
