A direct excision of the skin and fat would likely be the most effective means to removing this tissue. It would leave a scar in its place but the contours would be smooth.
Hello and thank you for your photos! When the breast reduction is done you could have liposuction done to the lateral sides of the breast and skin excision the axillary breast tissue. This would be the only way to remove this side tissue . Best of luck!
Dear zari3k,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would need excision of tissue. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
A direct excision is usually done through an incision in the axilla and excess skin is also removed.
Smaller areas of axillary breast tissue can be treated by liposuction. However larger areas such as yours will likely require formal excision with a transverse scar. Thank you for your query. The auxiliary breast tissue is removed by removal of fat as well as glands. You will also need some skin excision to remove the loose skin. Please find an experienced board certified Plastic surgeon who can examine you and help you with all your concerns. All the best!

Small amounts of axillary breast tissue can often be addressed through liposuction of the area. However based on the submitted photos liposuction alone would leave you with loose hanging skin, so excision of the tissue would be recommended for you.
Your case is very significant and the treatment would be liposuction with surgical removal of the large fold of skin which would leave a scar in the axilla.
It is likely a combination of both. Your history suggests that there is an element of axillary breast tissue, but visually I suspect there is excess fat present as well. Your surgeon can confirm the condition with a physical examination. He or she can then discuss treatment options.
Removing old implants at the time of a breast reduction is a common practice. If you feel like your breasts are now too large, as long as you have an adequate amount of breast tissue remaining, your implant can be safely removed. Whether or not you also require breast tissue removal or just a...
