I went for a breast augmentation consult and was told I have mild pectus excavatum. I'm still confused as to what this means and how it will affect my results. I'm 5'2, 125lbs, 32A, narrow build. Could someone explain this to me and maybe point me in the right direction to find pictures of other women with this and their results?
Answer: Pectus excavatum Thanks for your question! To put it at simply as possible, your chest is simply shaped different than some other women. I would suggest going on the gallery of your surgeon (you can check out mine on my website or here if you'd like). You should be able to see some B&A photos of women with that chest structure. You will likely have tighter cleavage and some implant size limitations. Good luck!

Answer: Pectus Excavatum I would definitely make an appointment with a board-eligible or board-certified plastic surgeon. Pectus excavatum is a chest wall deformity in which there is depression or "divot" of the chest wall. This may make implant placement challenging depending on the severity and/or asymmetry of the deformity. A well trained breast surgeon should be able to provide plastic surgery services and appropriately counsel you on your options.

Answer: Pectus excavated and breast augmentation Pectus excavatum is a concavity (depression) of the central chest and ranges in severity from mild to severe. Placing a breast implant along can accentuate this depression. Using a hybrid breast augmentation procedure that combines fat transfer with an implant can be helpful for improving aesthetic results.
