Thanks for your question. In my own practice I allow my patients to start driving when they feel up to it realistically and they are no longer taking narcotics. For most patients this is toward the end of the second week. Be sure to ask your own PS to be on the safe side.Best wishes

Congratulations on your recent surgery and thank you for sharing your question about your post operative recovery and results after your surgery. Final results can take 6-12 months for all the swelling to subside. At our office we actually see all of our surgery patients the very next day after surgery and then again at two weeks and beyond. I would say that if you did not have swelling in your thighs, that would be aa bit strange. Swelling is normal.
