When to take out stitches around your belly button after TT?

I am 9 days PO Mommy makeover, and my surgeon told me to have someone take my stitches around my belly button out 7-14 days PO. Where I’m getting my lymphatic drainage massages told me 21 days. What should I do? Help!

Typically 7-10 days is a safe time to remove the sutures around the belly button. If you leave them in for longer there is an increased risk of suture marks and they may be more difficult to remove. It's difficult to make a really specific recommendation without examining you or at least seeing a photo.

You should go by what your surgeon has described and he or his staff should remove them for you......

Your surgeon should be removing sutures him or herself, not telling you to find someone else,  Sutures remain in place for two weeks.  Three weeks is too long. Half of plastic surgery is aftercare and, if you had the procedure abroad at a discount, you got what you paid for.
