Thank you for your question. 50 is not too late. As long as you're healthy and fit for surgery there is no problem. The best bet is to find a board certified plastic surgeon with expertise in combination procedures. Combination procedures are very effective but SAFETY is the key! Chose your surgeon wisely and don't settle for less than board certification. Best of luck!
There's no age limit for mommy makeover procedure. However, patients must be over 18 years of age.
50 is a perfectly reasonable age to undergo a mommy makeover, and many patients this age (and older!) enjoy great results. Overall health is a much more important consideration than age. You should have clear, well-defined goals and be healthy enough to undergo general anesthesia and care for yourself after surgery.
Your age by itself will not prevent you from having surgery. So move forward.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
Hi! It's not too late for a mommy makeover! I would suggest you set up a consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. This will give you an opportunity to discuss your goals. Have fun and best of luck to you!
More important than age is the health of the patient! I have done Mommy Makeover surgery on patients in their 50's, 60's and 70's with excellent results! Be sure to choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and ask to see lots of before and after pictures. Good luck!
"50" is the new "40", and "40" is the perfect age for a Mommy Makeover. I don't know about you, but I've noticed that older individuals are looking younger and younger every day. Today, age is less important than health and fitness. Since people these days can look forward to living much longer, when you turn 50, you still have half your life ahead of you.The Mommy Makeover is a compilation of surgeries that allow women to regain their pre-pregnancy bodies and, at times, even surpass the bodies they had prior to having children. Tummy tucks, the keystone of any Mommy Makeover, have become a true cosmetic surgery with low, thin scars that are easily covered by the smallest bikini. Great looking belly buttons and trim, thin waistlines with no muffin tops are possible if the surgery is done by a well trained, experienced Board Certified plastic surgeon. After a well done Mommy Makeover, most patients have high, firm breasts, no fat in their armpits, and youthful appearing nipple areolar complexes. At times, after pregnancy and certainly after multiple vaginally deliveries, the labia minora gets elongated. Today's Board Certified plastic surgeons have the skill and motivation to change these grandmotherly looking vaginas into very youthful and attractive looking lady parts. Fortunately for you, San Francisco and its environs have some of the best trained Board Certified plastic surgeons in the world. Seek consultation with at least three surgeons who show good before and after pictures on their websites, check out their reviews on RealSelf, and find just the right surgeon to make you feel and look like the "30" year old woman you envision.
Your age doesn't matter so much as your overall health. Lots of people in their 50s and 60s are having cosmetic surgery, in particular mommy makeovers, so there is no reason that you should be overly concerned about your age. The only way to know for sure is to book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to see what your options are. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. Absolutely not, the bigger issue is your underlying medical health. If you have no major medical issues, and your surgeon feels you are an appropriate candidate for surgery, then you should feel free to pursue. Good luck.
There is no perfect age for a mommy makeover. People do it when they are ready for it.The key is that it can be done safely. Someone's health and fitness is far more important than the number of birthdays they have celebrated.Your doctor will go over your past medical history and make sure that you are a good candidate for surgery.Dr. Rodger Shortt is a plastic surgeon in Oakville, Ontario. This is a question your PS can only answer I suggest you call their office and make sure of what exactly liposuction of back includes, upper and lower? Best of luck!
Prices for a Mommy Makeover vary by surgeon and region. I offer a price quoting tool on my website to give patients a general idea of cost. However I would caution you against considering only price when selecting your surgeon. You want an experienced board certified surgeon who can help you...
It is not unusual to have irregularities around the scar postop following a TT. Best to run this past your PS but most of these will resolve with massage and scar management.
