8 Days post Rhinoplasty - Date Night!

After this time any activity has to be with a lot of care and gentle,It's too early to make value judgments with only eight days after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Please avoid all vigorous activity post op at this time. Usually the bones of the nose are broken with osteotomies during rhinoplasty and any small trauma can cause the bones to shift and heal poorly. Invest in your recovery period which is 3 -6 weeks.

I usually tell patients to avoid exertion for several weeks after surgery. I think that it is best of you to ask your surgeon.

It is best to ask these questions to your surgeon since everyone has their own protocol. I tell patients no heavy lifting or strenuous activity that might raise your blood pressure for 2 weeks and nothing that might bump the nose for 6 weeks. Have fun on date night!
