How soon would I be able to return to work? I am a hair stylist. Getting my second breast augmentation on aug 5th. Going from unders 350cc saline to 550-600cc silicone. Thanks! Also will recovery be easier? I dislike strong pain meds :)
Answer: About a week Hello, you will probably be able to return to work within a week after surgery. Of course it is best to ask your surgeon for his/her recommendation as well. Your recovery will most likely be a little easier than it was for your first BA, but i would still expect some pain and discomfort. Best regards.Jaime Perez, MDPlastic Surgery Center of Tampa

Answer: 2nd augmentation thanks for posting. For a "routine" secondary augmentation, post operative pain should not require any narcotics and return to nonstrenuous activity can certainly be less than one week. Be sure to discuss specific post op "rules" with your BCPS before your procedures. Good luck!

Answer: How soon can I return to work after revisionary breast surgery? To answer your questions:If the implants are being exchanged and there is very little capsular work that needs to be done, then you should be able to return to work within about 7-10 days following your surgery.I would agree with the comment about no exercise for 2 weeks although this also depends on the amount of capsular work necessaryIt would help to know what type of work you do. If your job involves lifting, then I would wait 2 weeks to return; if not, then you should be able to go back within 2-3 days.I hope that helps!

Answer: Time off Work after Breast Augmenation Revision Thanks for your question. Your recovery from this procedure will likely be similar and perhaps even slightly easier than your original surgery. A lot of the tissue stretching has already occurred and the pocket is mostly developed. It will likely require some internal work (incisions, releases or sutures) so it's not likely to be without some discomfort. Regardless or a revision or not however, healing is healing and you need to take time for yourself. I usually suggest at least one week off for my hairdressers and preferably two if you can manage. Followed by a lighter client load for another two weeks. After those 3-4 weeks you should be off to the races.Your surgeon will have a better idea of the details and can also give you recommendations specific to your surgery after it is completed.Best of luck in August!
