Hello, thanks for your question. It is possible to adjust the pocket surrounding an implant to improve its position. Generally it is easier to lower the pocket than to adjust it higher.
It may be best to seek additional opinions on #repositioning whether from the surgeon you initially consulted with or another. Particularly from a #PlasticSurgeon who is board-certified and has a great deal of experience specializing in cosmetic #surgery. Consulting in-person will also provide you more information about the options best suitable for you.One reason breast revision surgery is performed is #asymmetry. However, there's no guarantee the #asymmetry will simply be resolved with one breast revision. There are various reasons breasts can appear uneven or asymmetrical; which have to be taken into account when your surgeon determines the appropriate approach and technique for your #revision surgery. Typically, it's best to wait 6 to 12 months depending on the reason for #revision.
Thank you for your question and photos. It appears that you need a pocket revision with the placement of a new implant. If you are set on seeing a new surgeon, you should find one in the area that is an expert on breast implant revision and is of course board certified in plastic surgery. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
Usually an implant can be repositioned by using the same incision and then internally adjusting the size and position of the capsule. Your right implant does appear to be high and the pocket in this photo appears to be tight compared to the other side. In my New York office we perform a lot of complex breast revision surgery, and there are some very skilled doctors in the New York area.Best, Jeremiah Redstone MD
The right does seem to be higher than the left. It looks like the right breast pocket may need to lowered to match the left's position. I recommend scheduling an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in breast revision surgery in your area. Best regards.Jaime Perez, MDPlastic Surgery Center of Tampa
I am sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing. It is difficult to give you specific advice based on the clothed photographs but generally speaking, "repositioning" a breast implant involves manipulation of the breast implant capsules and/or surrounding tissues. For example, if a breast implant is sitting too high, "releasing" the lower breast implant capsule (scar tissue) may allow for more appropriate positioning of the breast implant on your chest wall. If the capsule surrounding the breast implant is abnormally thick ( encapsulation), removal of some capsule tissue may be indicated. Again, much will depend on your physical examination. Select your plastic surgeon carefully; careful physical examination and careful communication of your goals will be important. You may find the attached link, dedicated to revisionary breast surgery concerns, helpful to you as you learn more. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with long-term.
The right breast implant is high. The only way to correct this is with an operation. Without an examination, it is difficult to say anymore. I would advise you to see a board certified plastic surgeon for an honest second opinion. Good luck!
Hard to say what your issues without an exam in person. A photos with your clothes on does not help either.
