Implants sitting high in my chest but look flat at the bottom. Any suggestions?

I had my breast redo yesterday, I had my old 515cc implants replaced by 1050cc. I know it's only been a day but straight away They are an oblong shape not round like I'd been expecting. After my first ba I was also put in a bra which had a Velcro strap attached to help push the implants down but this time I have not. I know implants will fall and fluff but I am worried they are riding too high in my chest. Am I just being impatient or have I got a reason to be concerned?

Thank you for your photographs and questions.  If your surgery was just performed yesterday, it is too soon to look at your current results as being permanent.  Your implants need to settle, swelling to resolve, and your overlying tissues need to accommodate your larger implants. It is very difficult to have to wait for your results, but wait a couple of months before assessing your outcome.

I think that it is too early to judge.  Certainly, the implants will drop and settle; this process may take many weeks.  Hopefully, the oblong shape that you have showed will settle into a more rounded appearance as well.  A velcro strap, known as a "breast band", may speed up this process.  The strap is placed across the upper part of the implants and is helpful in pushing the implants down and out.  Perhaps your plastic surgeon can provide you with one.

Thanks for your question about breast implant revision.It is still too early to make judgments about your result.  At this point it is normal to have the implants riding high with a compressed look.  Give it some more time and you will see the implant drop and round out the bottom of the breast giving it a much more pleasing shape.  I recommend that you keep your scheduled follow up with your plastic surgeon to make sure you are healing as expected.  I would also ask your surgeon about any suggestion regarding a bra or a strap.  In some cases I will use a shaped or textured implant for the result I want for a patient.  If your implant is a textured implant I would recommend against strap use or massage as it may lead to healing problems and may cause a fluid build up around the implant.  If your surgeon used smooth round devices then implant massage or strap use is often recommended and reasonable.Follow your postoperative care instructions and visit with your surgeon as scheduled.Best Wishes
