If I go from mid profile to high profile, do I need to increase my ccs to get the same appearance?

One of the key considerations in sizing of breast implants is the width of a patient's chest.  An implant should closely approximate this width in order to be able to center it appropriately behind a woman's breast tissue.  For implants of the same size cc's, but higher profile, this width narrows.  As a result, in order to maintain the same width implant, but a higher profile, the amount of cc's must increase.  

Thanks for your inquiry and you raise an important consideration toward your final result.  I think you should wait till your surgeon returns in country to have a face to fce consult.  A HP device will have more volume to keep the same width.  Good Luck.

You are correct. If one has a moderate profile implant of a certain volume and goes to a High profile implant of the same diameter, the volume of High profile implant will be greater. The increased volume is used to create better projection (HP) without sacrificing width of fullness. 

A high profile breast implant has a smaller diameter (width) and more projection than a moderate profile breast implant of the same volume. A high profile breast implant will have a larger volume than a moderate profile breast implant of the same diameter (width). Proper implant selection requires an examination to match the implant with your body structure and breast tissue characteristics. Hope your revision goes well. 

 In the scenario you described, it is nearly guaranteed that an implant that continues to match your width will have more volume in it in order to achieve more projection. I wouldn't say that you "need" to go up in volume, however, it will be a natural consequence of the change. The best way to assess this change is to see your current implant side-by-side with the one you're considering.  I have a method that I used to help my patients who are undergoing an implant exchange to simplify the visualization. Breast implants need to be chosen to meet your needs taking into consideration their height, width, projection and configuration in keeping with all those measurements on your own chest. Wait until you can see the surgeon.

The diameter of the new implants should match your current diameter as long as this was well chosen to match your dimensions. So if you go up in profile the ccs will go up usually about by 100.
