I am only 41, and I had a neck lift 2 1/2 years ago. I have a lot of sun damage and both parents have droopy necks. I was not satisfied with the initial results, but my doctor said nothing else could be done. Now it is sagging again and looks even worse. I am super self conscious about it because it makes me look do much older than I am. Can anything be done to help this? Please?

Answer: Another neck lift 2 years later Yes, another neck lift or face lift is possible 2 years after the original surgery. Plastic surgery doesn't "stop the clock", but rather sets back the clock a few years. Patients continue to age and get sagging tissue. Sun damage will age a person faster, but genetics plays a role in appearance too. Without an office examination, it's difficult to determine appropriate options for you, but options may possibly include a neck lift, lower face lift, liposuction, or chin implant. If you haven't already, then speak with a facelift surgeon to review options best for you.Best of luck,Dr. Chaboki

Answer: Revision neck lift It would be very helpful to see a profile view, however on the frontal view alone I can identify a number of issues that can be addressed, thus improve the quality and longevity of the result. I see what appears to be a digastric muscle bulge on the left, poor mandibular definition(which helps support the neck) and per your history, genetic and solar damage. You may or may not need the neck surgically revised but I would tighten the skin and rejuvenate its quality, restoring collagen and elasticity, and enhance jawline definition and support with fat grafting.Hope this helps
