My neck looks as the photo with the relaxed neck. My question is regarding binding of the neck muscles and fat deposits. For example- after having a baby - belly binding helps the body get tighter. Does it work for neck/ double chin? Or do I risk making the muscles even looser? I want to do surgery but can't yet. I feel it ages me and makes me look heavier than I am. Please help me!
Answer: Neck Tightening and Laxity There are not too many great options for neck tightening, besides surgery and plastysmaplasty IF someone is a candidate. However, there are some good noninvasive options. Botox works to tighten the muscles of the neck and jawline; fillers into the lateral neck and skin folds work great to fill out lines and give lift; radiofrequency treatments like sublative/viva, laser treatments fraxel/clear and brilliant/co2 help texture and tone as well as give lift; ultrasound (ultherapy) and deep radiofrequency (thermage, velashape, venus legacy) can help give tightening and lift as well but often require more than one treatment and are best combined with the other mentioned treatments and by doing the full face rather than just the neck. you look like a great liposuction/SmartLipo candidate as this can remove fat and heat the skin for tightening and to change the contour. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who specializes in noninvasive options and thinks outside the box. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Non-Invasive Procedures While Saving Up for Surgery While non-invasive treatments may improve the appearance for some people, many repeated treatments may be required. Nor do the results outlive those from a surgical procedure. It's best to begin by consulting with a surgeon in-person. She or he will evaluate both your anatomical features and aesthetic goals to determine which procedure best suits your individual needs. In some cases your plastic surgeon may give you more than one option to choose from. A neck lift is a general term used for rejuvenating the neckline to create a more youthful attractive appearance. There are various surgical techniques for a neck lift which will be discussed during your consultation. Also, additional procedures may be suggested to complement the neck lift for optimal results.During the examination the chin will be evaluated along with the neck and jawline. A weak #chin means there is not adequate chin support for the skin along the neck line. In younger individuals a chin #implant alone is usually all that is needed to improve the appearance of the neck. Subsequently, it will also improve the overall balance of the face and can create the illusion of a smaller nose. As a stand-alone procedure, chin augmentation can be performed in the office under local anesthesia. For individuals with signs of aging in the neck, a chin implant added to one of the recommended procedures above, will provide optimal results. The contributing factors to the #cost of a #neck lift include the surgeon’s fee, facility fee, medication cost and the anesthesia fee. Estimated fees may also be found here on Real Self, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery website, Surgery.org, or PlasticSurgery.org. However, many #payments plans exist for cosmetic procedures. Ask your surgeon's office about finance programs and lenders they may recommend as well as personal loans available through financial institutions. It is important to choose a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in #neck lift procedures is important to ensure you are receiving the best advice, care, and surgical experience possible.

Answer: The Role of External Binder on the Neck Counter A binder or any external pressure device will not have any positive or negative effect in the shape the shaper of the neck. Your neck can be improved drastically by removing the fat superficial and deep to the thin muscle that is called platysma along with tightening muscle using a technique that I have described in the plastic surgery literature which is called Vest-Over-The- Pants technique which I have been using it for the over 30 years. Suctioning alone will not be sufficient since it does not remove the fat below the muscle safely and has no capability to tighten the muscles.

Answer: Regarding a neck lift; while I lose weight and save money for surgery, would binding tighten or make the neck more loose? You might consider a lipo or ThermiTight RF treatment to tighten the neck area before invasive surgery...

Answer: Neck lift procedure for double chin Once you are at your ideal body weight and have diet resistance fat still present in the neck, then consider a neck lift procedure. In our practice, a neck lift procedure involves removal of fatty deposits above and below the platysma muscle with a platysma plasty. There is no skin removal required for a neck lift. When patients are over 50 and have a skin laxity issue, a lower face and neck lift procedure is performed
