Yes, this amount of swelling isn't typical. I recommend continuing with the antihistamines and checking in with your injector. Hope this helps.

This does not appear to be a normal reaction to a filler injection.  You should seek medical attention for prompt treatment of this issue.

thankyou for your question . Your lips do look quite swollen. The antihistamines is a great idea. I would continue taking them for a week. It would be wise to at least be reviewed by your injector for future reference. This type of swelling isn't common but they will settle.Your injector may even prescribe a steroid tablet to help settle them quickerGood luck

Swelling after lip injections is common, however your swelling is excessive and not typical.  Contact your physician for an examination.

Thanks for your question, sorry that you are having these concerns, and thanks for sending in the photos – they are helpful.  We always recommend that you have these injections in the offices of board certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons as we are the experts in these kinds of procedures.  Your provider should have reviewed with you the time course of what may happen after getting the injections which can include swelling and lumps for up to two weeks after. This can be treated with ice and gentle massage and most always settles down to give a nice cosmetic result.  If they did not, they should have.  At the end of two weeks, if it still not correct, go back to your provider and have the filler dissolved. It is not what we want to do, but know that it is there if needed.  Good luck.

Again need steroid RX. Best to notify the injecting MD or seek ER or Urgent Care evaluation. You might have an reaction to the preservatives in the HA filler or the lidocaine. Best to see Allergist for skin testing.
