The elimination half life of Lidocaine is 90 to 120 minutes in most patients than means half of it is gone within 2 hours and in 4 hours your body will have eliminated more than 3/4 of it. The numbing effect will be gone within an hour. If you are concerned about lidocaine toxicity, the amount of Lidocaine in a 1cc syringe of filler is such a small amount that it is almost insignificant. A true allergy to local anesthetic is uncommon, but if your were told by a doctor that you are allergic to Lidocaine, you should probably get the fillers without lidocaine and use ice for numbing.
