How can I fix this rash 3 years post-op? It hasn't gone away from breast since the start (Photo)

Question

I've had a breast aug/lift 3 years ago and with a second upsize 6 months after my first surgery. I have had a rash that does not go away on my breast since the start. I've tried hydrocortisone and my doctor prescribed me an anti fungal. It cleared it the first time and now it just won't go away. It's itchy and ugly and I don't know what else to do about it. Please help, thank you.

Hello, thank you for your question, That is very odd that it is now 3 year s for that rash. Consider seeing your dermatologist who may suggest a punch biopsy at that point.

This may be some hyperpigmentation related to scarring/poor healing after surgery. I would recommend seeing your surgeon again and asking if anything can be done regarding the hyperpigmentation. This may or may not go away.

Go to a dermatologist and be seen. You might even need a biopsy done. Just in the one photo which is not a close up, it appears it could be eczema.

I'm not sure what is causing this prolonged rash.  I would ask your surgeon if he used any permanent sutures, then consult a Dermatologist for their input.
