I know I can ask a surgeon, but certainly a surgeon with less than good morals can easily lie so I'd like my own way to check statistics.
Answer: Statistics Although it is a good idea to be able to look this type of stuff up, it just is not really available anywhere. However, you can still get a really good feel for a surgeon by looking at a few things: 1) bio on website....are they proud of their training and they put it up on the website? That's usually a good sign. If you cannot find out what their background or training is, that means they may not want you to know. Most of us trained for a really long time and are very happy for patients to know that we have done thousands of surgeries and know how to do them safely. You would not want someone who took a weekend course to do your lipo/BBL/tummy tuck, etc.... 2) Reviews (Real Self, Yelp, Etc....).....surgeons who strive for safety, results, patient care, patient experience also value the reviews that they get. You will often find a lot of hidden answers within a doctor's reviews that will lead you one way or another. 3) Photos/experience.....either by instagram, Real Self, website, or in person. If you talk to a surgeon and they can show you lots of photos, or you feel they can speak to your case specifically with no BS and are realistic about your results, you are on the right track. Ultimately you should do the above research and get a few consults with board certified plastic surgeons. You will probably find one that stands out to you and you feel comfortable with that can deliver the results you desire, safely. Good luck on your journey! Answer: How do I find a surgeon's statistics (morbidity/mortality, number of surgeries, etc.) online? Hello, thank you for your question. I do not think you can find that information. It is hard to make a decision sometimes as to who would be best to perform the surgery that we desire. I would focus on the big picture since we can get lost and confused with the details. Is the plastic surgeon well trained, board certified, have good before and after photos? Do you feel comfortable with him/her? Does the surgeon have good reviews? Those are the big picture basics that will guide you toward the right decision for you.

Answer: Surgical statistics availability I am not aware that information you are looking for exist, unfortunately. Looking at surgeon's profile on web site, before and after photos, reviews, word of mouth and, in particular, in person consultation with 2-3 prospective surgeons, would give you enough information to make right choice. Good luck.

Answer: Choosing a surgeon Dear may1787, finding the right Dr. is extremely challenging especially with the number of online platforms and resources available. There a lot of great Dr's available. Make sure he/she is a board-certified plastic surgeon. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient testimonials. There is a number of different sites where you can check for reviews (Realself, yelp, google, etc.). You can always pick up the phone and call around also, find an office you feel comfortable with and set up a few consultations.
