The short answer is No. Since the dissection for facelift is further away from your silicone implant. Having said that, it might be ideal to wait at least a year between your nose implant before you plan for facelift
Generally it is acceptable to have a facelift following a nasal implant. If possible, providing your surgeon with records can help with this determination. It is recommended you discuss individual concerns with your provider.
Yes. This should not increase your risk of infection. You will be given a standard dose of antibiotics prior to surgery regardless. I would recommend seeing a board certified or board eligible plastic surgeon with aesthetic surgery training/experience who can perform a full exam and provide safe recommendations.
Thank you for your question. There is no direct conflict between having facelift surgery and silicone nose implant. In general, silicone implants are somewhat sensitive to infection around the body whether from facelift or any other source.Infection after facelift is very rare, so the chance of having this type of problem would be very very low.
Thank you for asking your question. No, a nose implant will not impact a facelift procedure. The key is ensuring that the implant has healed correctly before undergoing another procedure and recovery. Facial surgeries like a facelift require an experienced board-certified facial plastic surgeon for beautiful, seamless, and natural results. Be sure to consult an expert with experience performing facelift procedures with a nose implant to get your desired results.
Hi and thanks for your question! Facelift surgery should not affect your nose nor your nasal implant position. The surgeon shouldn't be dissecting anywhere near that area so i would not anticipate any issues.
Hi, there! Silicone implants should not be an issue. You can still get a deep plane facelift or a micro facelift if you desire. While booking your consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon, your surgeon will lay out all the things you can or can not do before and after the surgery. Hope this answers your question.Sincerely,Philip J. Miller, MD, FACS Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon
Yes. You will require assessment by a specialist to make sure that the implant is in a good position and has good Skin cover. Rarely the implant can start to work it's way out or be prominent in which case there may be a small risk of infection which the surgeon will explain to you.
Hello @Estella010, thank you for your question. It is not a problem for you to undergo a facelift, this procedure does not involve touching the nose in any way. The best course of action is to consult one or several board certified plastic surgeon for more information. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD FACS
Thank you for your question. A facelift won't affect the implant, nor your nose. All the best!-Dr. P
There is no relation and any complication related to performing face lift on patient with silicone implant in face or elsewhere. You can safely proceed with planed face lift surgery. Good luck.
The results should hold if a proper facelift/necklift is performed. I request that my patient wait until 6 months after childbirth before proceeding with any surgery as the effects of some of the hormones on the skin will reverse. I believe you would do awesome with a facelift/necklift. I would...
The simple answer is both would do well (ideally together). As we age, many individuals get both excess skin/laxity and lose volume and the volume we have descends (this is why people get "jowls", deep nasolabial folds, malar descent..). Based upon the photos, you appear to be in need of...
I usually recommend the kit from PostRecoveryMD to my patients it seems to have everything they need for a smooth recovery.
