Exchange for smaller implants at 8 weeks post-op, under local anesthesia? (photo)

Question

I had a BL/BA almost 8 weeks ago. While I know it's still very early, I really wish they were smaller. I'm 5'2" 135lbs BWD 13 and I have 400cc Mentor HP. It's very apparent there was a pretty big miscommunication between myself and my surgeon. I really wish I would've shown her pictures of my goals. Anyway, is it possible to exchange to smaller under local anesthesia? Would this be considered as easy surgery? Please help! I'm miserable.

I'm sorry you are unhappy with your implants.  Because you had both a lift and augmentation it is best to wait a bit longer before exchanging implants.  This procedure is best done under general anesthesia for your comfort and safety.  Be sure to discuss what you would like in terms of results with your surgeon so the correct implants can be recommended.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Yes, the implants can be exchanged for something smaller and the lateral pockets can be tightened if needed. I would suggest waiting at least 4 more weeks, though waiting 4 more months is ideal.  This surgery would be less painful than the first.  Please discuss this with your surgeon.
