Hello, I had utm implants in June 2022 with natrelle 485cc round, Smooth, responsive gel, full profile. They did not come out the shape/style I wanted. I’m going to show a picture that has 2 images in 1. The image on the left is the shape/profile *I wanted* (not my image but its someone with the same size of implant as me) the image on the right is what my breast look like now. Id like to know why they didnt turn out the way I wanted and how I can fix them to be more like the image on the left.
Answer: Implants Just looking at your photos, it appears that the implants chosen are too large for your tissue and are still sitting high. You may have a capsule holding them up as well. the ones on the left may be too large for you. Going smaller will give a more natural look and be less stress on your tissues.

Answer: Implants too big Your implants are too big. You will need smaller implants and possibly a lift at the same time. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Fabulous953159, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Breast Implants Not Settling Sorry to read about your disappointment. It is difficult to say what is going on without a proper exam, but it could be few things: capsular contracture which prevented the implants from dropping and settling, the implants are just too big for your body (breast), incomplete muscle release, you may have needed a lift with implants. As you can see there are numerous scenarios and the best option would be to seek out a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes in breast surgery and breast revision surgery. An exam can clue in to what is going on. Hope that helps.

Answer: Your implants are too high You did not get the shape you wanted because your implants are sitting too high. This can happen with the transaxillary approach or if the inferior border of the pectoralis is not released enough/not enough dual plane dissection is done. Your problem can be fixed with release of the inferior capsule/partial capsulectomy and dissection of the breast gland off the muscle. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon for your revision. Good luck!
