I am 5'8", 29 years old female with an hour glass shape. I am thinking about a full body liposuction, just to get myself started on a weight loss journey, I want to use it as a kick starter, first I want to know how much weight is typically lost if the procedure is done over multiple areas? Why is it not possible to treat lipo as a weight loss means and undergo multiple lipo suctions on the same region until the ideal body fat percentage is reached?
Answer: #WeightLossAfterLiposuction Yes, If you stay healthy with a good diet and exercise regimen you can you lose more weight after liposuction and still maintain the same contour.

Answer: You should lose weight before getting liposuction. Thank you for your question. It’s great that you are embarking on your weight loss journey. Liposuction is actually not a weight loss procedure. The aim of liposuction is to minimize or eliminate bulges of fat that don’t respond to diet or exercise. Most patients actually don’t lose a significant amount of weight during liposuction. Since you are just getting started on your weight loss program, it’s best to wait until you’ve reached your target weight before determining the problem areas of your body and considering liposuction to streamline your figure. Best of luck.

Answer: Not for weight loss Liposuction is not a method of weight loss, because the amount of fat removed won’t be significant enough to register on the scale. At most, you’ll only lose a couple of pounds, even if you get several areas of your body treated. What liposuction is for is to eliminate pockets of stubborn fat that don’t respond well to exercise and diet. It also targets only the fat located under your skin (subcutaneous) and not deeper in the areas around your organs (visceral). I suggest you reconsider thinking of liposuction as a “kick starter” for your weight loss. The best results are achieved on patients who are at a stable weight and who lead a healthy lifestyle. Liposuction is purely for cosmetic body contouring, not for weight loss reasons.

Answer: Can you lose more weight after liposuction and still maintain the same contour? Thank you for your question. Liposuction is an excellent method of permanently removing fat and the results can be dramatic, but your results will be enhanced with weight loss prior to treatment. In general it is always advisable to lose weight naturally before pursuing any aesthetic surgery procedure, as weight fluctuations will affect your long-term results from surgery.
