What's wrong with my boobs? I can't feel comfortable in my own skin (Photo)

Hi there,I just want you to know that you are not abnormal. Breasts have so many varieties of shapes and types. It is unfortunate that there are so many pressures from society about what a breast should look like. Yes you have asymmetry, but so do 99% of women (and men). You have some drooping of the breasts called ptosis and it is more significant on the left than the right side. Based on the photos you may have some components of a tubular / tuberous breast on the left side but you would need a physical examination to confirm that. There are very good surgeries to improve your symmetry. If you have any characteristics of the tubular or tuberous breast the approach I recommend involves lifting the breast, redistributing the tissues, making the areola smaller, and sometimes an implant (see one of my patients before and after in the link below)Finally up toward your axilla you have a very normal collection of fat / gland that many women appreciate having treated with liposuction. This is normal tissue, you are born with it, but removing it does improve your chest contour.
Ultimately though you need to know that you are normal. Surgery can refine your appearance but I think you will be most satisfied with your surgery if you can learn to accept yourself as beautiful, worthy and deserving of intimacy and love just as you are right now. There are a lot of excellent psychologists out there that can help you work on this too. It is not something you need to do on your own! I think the mental health aspect of this is much more important than the surgical side. Investing time, resources and energy into your mind, and soul, will be more important than finding a good plastic surgeon. Best wishes in your health journey.

tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall.The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition.My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries.That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thank you for your question and sharing your photos. An examination in person would be required to properly evaluate you and make appropriate treatment recommendations. That said, it appears that your breasts developed with a bit of extra skin that results in sagging or drooping. Many women have breasts similar to yours, even if the aesthetics are not in keeping with your wishes. A "pretty" breast has the proper proportions not only of breast size in relation to torso and the chest, but also in relation to the position of the nipple/areola relative to the center and bottom of the breast. In your case the nipple areola is at the lower pole of the breast pointing somewhat downward, rather than more centered and pointing forward.

The solution is almost certainly a breast lift or "mastopexy" that re-establishes a more aesthetic position to your nipple areola and more ideal aesthetic proportions. If you re pleased with the size of your breasts but not the shape then a mastopexy alone should suffice. If you wish to be larger, a properly selected implant can be inserted at the same time ("augmentation mastopexy").

Hate is a very strong word. If you are interested in improving your breasts, you could consider a lift. If you want larger breasts, you can add implants.

The first thing to remember is that no two breasts are alike, not from person to person and most of the time not from right to left. Some amount of asymmetry is normal.
In looking at your pictures, it looks like you may also have some accessory tissue near your axilla (arm pits).
Plastic surgeons are well trained in providing solutions for improving the shape of your breasts as well as the surrounding area. This could include a lift with or without implants and liposuction of the other areas. I think an in person consult with a plastic surgeon would be very informative for you! Good luck!

There is nothing "wrong" with your breasts. They come in all shapes and sizes. If you want to enhance them you can consider a breast lift with potentially a small implant.
