Hello, I had a breast enlargement 4 months ago and I’m really unhappy with the results. To the point I’ve been in tears and wish I’d never had it done. My right scar is sitting on my chest wall and shows if I wear a bikini other than a crop top bikini. My nipples are so much lower and breasts seem so unatural and also so much smaller than I was hoping. People are shocked at the little difference this has made and now I’m left with visible scars on my chest and funny shaped boobs.
Answer: Implants Your implants are still sitting somewhat high which makes the scar appear in the wrong place. Do wear your breast strap and go back to your surgeon to discuss oral Accolate and external ultrasound treatments to see if that will position your implants lower.

Answer: Revision You need to wait 6 months from the surgery date before doing any revision. At that time, you can consider a circumareola approach to move the nipple-areola complex up and inward and it's also possible to reposition the implants more medially since your breasts are widely separated. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast augmentation results There are generally three variables that determine breast augmentation outcomes. Those are first the patient’s candidacy for the procedure, in the first place, the correct choice of implants, and lastly, the technical aspect of placing the implants correctly. Women who have divergent Breast or Breast that’s it wide, and far apart on their chest wall is still going to have the same anatomy. The surgeon cannot move your breast on the chest wall.Implant selection is very important and this process should be done carefully during in person consultations. Did you review a lot of before and after pictures? Who chose the implant? Did you have clear open communications explaining what you’re hoping to achieve? The last part is the technical aspect of doing the procedure. Your implants babysitting a little higher, and they often drop down a little bit postoperatively. Some patients may need a revision to readjust the implant pockets. Ideally in the hands of the ride provider, your candidacy for the procedure should be well explained in advance, so you have a clear understanding of what your results will look like. Ideally, there should be a little or no surprises regarding the outcome. As efficiently experience provider should explain your candidacy, and show her number of before, and after pictures of previous patient who had similar body characteristics to your own. If you’re unhappy with your outcome, I suggest you follow up with your provider and explain your concerns to him or her. You can also schedule a inperson second opinion consultations with other plastic surgeons in your community. The following are some general guidelines for how to find the right provider for your needs. To find the best provider, I suggest patient schedule multiple in person consultations with experienced plastic surgeons in their community. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body or facial characteristics to your own. An experienced plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. An experienced provider should in fact have hundreds or preferably thousands of before and after pictures to choose from for commonly performed procedures. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best results of a provider’s career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results will look like in the hands of each provider. There is no correct number of consultations needed to find the best provider. The more consultations you scheduled the more likely you are to find the best provider for your needs. Take careful notes during each consultation, especially regarding the quantity and quality of before and after pictures. It’s not a bad idea to bring pictures of your own body/face to use as reference when reviewing before and after pictures. The biggest mistake patients make is scheduling only one consultation without properly vetting or comparing providers before scheduling surgery. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
