Question

I had a BA with a donut lift. had mild tuberous breasts got 150 & 200 size implants. the operative report said nothing about cutting the connective tissue which i thought was needed to fix the deformity. I think they are to big on my frame i know the only way to fix this is to take them out. But what procedure do i need to fix the lift. i wanted my aerolas high and small. was told donut lift would give best scar results but mine are stretched, puckering like a fried egg, bad scars, numb, low

The size of the implants put tension on the donut lift which is contributing to the dilation and scarring. You can correct this by converting to a vertical (lollipop) lift which will also improve the position of the nipple-areola. Downsizing the implants will help too. Cutting the ligaments is not always necessary for tubular breasts and is not the issue in your case.

Hello and thank you for posting. So your scarring doesn’t look that bad. It seems recent and will get better. But I believe the issue is you probably needed a full lift rather than a donut lift. I don’t see any tuberous breast deformity, but I do think they are a little too big and a little low. Plus one breast is lower and more lateral then the other. A breast lift / reduction with areola reduction and your same implants is the way to go….. especially if you want to fix the asymmetries.

Actually this is the main problem with donut lifts.  Dilated areolae. You need this converted to a lollipop lift and may need to remove the implants because the implants will make the closure too tight. Implants could be added later if desired

You will need a vertical lift because of the excess sagging, especially if you remove your implants.  The doughnut lift will not be adequate and may stretch out while healing.

To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. Paragraph I suggest you follow up with your provider or schedule a second opinion consultations with other plastic surgeons. In your case, I think you need more than a Benelli (donut )mastopexy.
