I got my breast augmentation done 11 months ago. I am 5 ft 1, a 32A cup before, and I don’t have kids. My left breast was always smaller than my right breast & I got 350CC moderate plus placed on both side. I prefer the perky look without having to wear a bra, but I feel like it’s placed too low and close together? I provided photos. Are my implants too low and close together? I’m very unhappy with them.
Answer: Implants No, your implants are placed correctly, behind your breast tissue. With your anatomy, your breasts do sit somewhat low on your chest and the bases cannot be raised. Your breasts look nice. If you are concerned, the lower nipple could be raised, but it is fine where it is.

Answer: Breast augmentation results In order to make an accurate assessment on the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure, we generally need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. There are three variables that determine breast augmentation outcomes Those variables are the patient’s candidacy for the procedure, the choice of implants and the correct placement of the implantatFrom the pictures you’ve included, the implants appear to be in the correct location. Patient may wish to have certain breast shapes and ideal characteristics, but if they don’t have the candidacy for that outcome, then they need to understand that the results are going to be based on what their breast look like before the procedure. Based on your pictures, it looks like your augmentation was done correctly. Understanding your own candidacy for the procedure is an important part of maintaining high patient satisfaction. Surgeons cannot move your breast position on the chest wall. The implant should be placed centrally under the pectoralis muscle under each breast. Anatomic variables like breast, divergence, or ptosis, are not corrected by implant augmentation. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
