Hello, I am of African descent. I had a rhinoplasty and because I had no bridge in my nose , my surgeon extracted cartilage from my rib to build up a bridge in my nose. Now it’s been over 6 months and my nose is still hard to the touch and my smile is affected. It feels like a hard rock on my face and i hate the feeling of it. I was wondering if I am able to remove the rib cartilage in my nose and replace it with ear cartilage so it’s more softer to the touch. Thank you

The short answer is: if done properly and by an experienced revision rhinoplasty surgeon, no, the pollybeak should not recur. It looks like the bottom half of your nasal bridge was under-resected and the nasal tip overrotated.
Hope that helps.
