Hi All, I’m planning to get a BA and would prefer to not get a lift. I have met with one surgeon who did suggest a lift. I feel like my breast are deflated after breast feeding but my nipple is above the fold. Could I please have some honest feedback? Any examples would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: Implants without lift Yes, I think you would be a great candidate for breast implants and you don't need a lift. You can achieve a very nice and natural result without the added scars that would be required for a lift. Best of luck!

Answer: Can I have implants without a lift? Thanks for your question. From these pictures, it is difficult to tell what you would be a good candidate for. I recommend scheduling a consult for a proper evaluation. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Dr. Moises Salama, board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Do you need an uplift? Thanks for the photo and question. I think this is based on your expectations from the procedure. If you are happy with the position of the breasts and nipple but want more fullness then you can have an implant alone. If you would like the nipple to sit higher then you will probably need to consider an uplift. It is difficult to suggest based on this single photo and often we need to assess you in person to see the dynamic movement of the breast and nipple.

Answer: Breast augmentation Hi from Istanbul, thanks for your question. Based on your photo, it appears that your nipples are above the inframammary fold, which is a positive indicator for considering breast augmentation without a lift. The main issue seems to be a loss of volume, particularly in the upper pole of the breasts, rather than significant sagging. An implant with the correct volume and correct placement would help reach your goals. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Can I have implants without a lift? Hello, Thank you for the question. Based on your photos, you appear to be an excellent candidate for breast augmentation. You may require a donut breast lift to help raise the nipple position but it is difficult to tell without in person examination. Implant size discussion and implant selection is one of the most important steps during your consultation with plastic surgeon. The decision-making process depends on your desires, as well as breast and soft tissue dimensions of your chest wall. I would seek an in-person evaluation by the Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results. I hope this helps. Best regards, Dr. Karanetz Dr. Irena Karanetz Breast Fellowship-Trained Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Correct implant selection and placement is key As always with breast augmentation, implant selection and placement will be important for your outcome, and this will feed into the decision making around whether you would also benefit from an uplift procedure (mastopexy). It would be worth discussing with your surgeon where they recommend placing your implants (in front of or behind the muscle), the characteristics of the implant that they plan to use, and the type of uplift procedures that they offer. Implants alone, or implants with a subtle lift, could both be appropriate for you if you wish to minimise scarring.
