I recently had moderate profile and 320 cc size. I want to be fuller and tastefully larger. I am 5 8 and slim but shapely. My frame would look better with fuller breast look. My surgeon said due to my breast tissue and measurements this is all he could do
Answer: Can increase profile Without seeing you and taking your breast measurements (which would be the way to say for sure), you could almost certainly increase your implant profile to get a fuller look. The most important measurement for an implant fitting you is the base width of the implant (which should match the base width of your breast fairly closely). If a 320cc moderate profile implant fits you, a moderate plus, full, or extra full profile implant of the same width should also fit you and give more fullness. For example, the 320cc moderate profile Sientra implant has a width of 12.3cm. If that fits your breast width, a 355cc moderate plus, a 385cc high, or a 510cc extra high profile should all fit you as well, as they are all about the same width (depending on how much fuller you would like to be).

Answer: Does my breast measurements and and tissue determine profile and size? Hello, Thank you for the question. I'm sorry to hear that you are not fully happy with the implant size. Implant size discussion and implant selection is one of the most important steps during your consultation with plastic surgeon. The decision-making process depends on your desires, as well as breast and soft tissue dimensions of your chest wall. You can also exchange implants to a larger size in the future. I would seek an in-person evaluation by the Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results. I hope this helps. Best regards, Dr. Karanetz Dr. Irena Karanetz Breast Fellowship-Trained Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Breast Implant Size Thank you for your question. Yes breast measurements especially the width of your breast are important for determining what size implant will fit in your chest. Many of the woman who have larger implants may be on their second set. You would have to give time for the skin, breast tissue and muscle to stretch to accommodate a larger implant. Most surgeons recommend waiting a year before replacing with a larger implant. A moderate profile implant will give a tasteful appearance to the breast and look more natural. There are also full profile and extrafull profile implants that project more so showing more cleavage, but more of a fake look. I use full or extrafull profile implants when a woman has a narrow chest and the breast width doesn't allow me to put in a larger implant. The full profile and extrafull profile implants are less wide so they may fit your breast and allow you to have a fuller breast look. Hope that helps!

Answer: Implants Yes and yes. Your surgeon has examined and measured you and determined what range of sizes would best fit your frame and tissue. You can go larger, but may wind up with round hard balls on your chest. If you have some donor fat, this could be added to enhance your volume. Please discuss this with your surgeon.

Answer: Implant profile and size Dear MyLady1234, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
