Breast revision surgery approx 18months ago. 35 year old, female. I have had a scan to confirm the implants have not ruptured. I would appreciate your opinions, prior to going back to my original surgeon.
Answer: Capsular contracture? More history would be helpful regarding capsular contracture . . . is it changing or painful? Gleaning from your photos, the more noticeable issue is that you have ptosis (sagging of breast tissue off of your implants) and you would benefit from a breast lift to establish a better location of the nipple centered in the middle of the breast mound. Of course, capsular contracture will need to be addressed if present. I hope this helps. Thank you for the inquiry.

Answer: Breasts One implant appears to be sitting a little higher than the other, but both are a little high. Plus, your nipples are a little low. I would suggest repositioning your pockets, and going somewhat smaller. Once the implants are positioned correctly, you may not need the lift.

Answer: Capsular contracture Capsular contracture occurs when the scar capsule that surrounds an implant thickens or tightens around the implants. This can cause issues such as the breast feeling hard, placement shift, or even pain. Visit with your surgeon to determine if a contracture is present. The correct treatment depends on the degree of the contracture.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method Your breasts are wider than your chest wall and your nipple are pointing downward. At this time, I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Capsular contracture Thank you for posting your question here!My answer will be based on the limited information and pictures provided, for a detailed and personalized plan I would recommend consulting with your plastic surgeon in person. Capsular contracture has many aspects to it , from change in the shape of the breast , changes in the feel of the breast (becomes firmer), and patient discomfort and that might change the degree of capsular contracture and potentially the management of the contracture , so it is hard to weigh in based on pictures alone so I would encourage you to consult with your plastic surgeon in person so they can come up with a plan that works best for you.I hope this helps, best of luck!
